Thad Jones Interview Cluster: Original 1966 Band Members

Supervised by Dr. Tim Newman

In spring 2005, the members of a graduate class led by William Paterson jazz faculty member Dr. Tim Newman conducted a cluster of interviews, centering on members of the original 1966 Thad Jones – Mel Lewis Orchestra, also including several other significant band members interviewed at other times.

The recordings and transcripts of these interviews are contained as part of the Thad Jones Archive, and are available to researchers and students.
